ImageBig FAQ

Clear answers before you upscale.

Common questions

What people ask most.

Is ImageBig free to use?

Yes. ImageBig currently offers free browser-based image previews without an account.

Are my images uploaded to ImageBig?

No. The AI model runs in your browser, so the source and generated images are not uploaded to or stored by ImageBig.

What image types and output sizes are supported?

ImageBig accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and HEIF files up to 30 MB and creates previews up to 2048 pixels on the longest edge.

Do I need an account to use the upscaler?

No. Open the independent upscaler, choose a file, and create a preview without signing in.

Can I use the preview as a print-ready file?

Not without review. ImageBig produces a resolution preview, not a verified print-ready file. Check text, logos, faces, transparency, pixel dimensions, and DPI before production.

Does ImageBig preserve transparent backgrounds?

ImageBig restores the source silhouette after upscaling, but fine transparent edges can change. Review them before using a cutout commercially.

Why is on-device upscaling slower on mobile?

Mobile browsers have different GPU acceleration, memory limits, and thermal constraints. ImageBig lowers the model input ceiling on smaller and more constrained devices.
