Private browser processing

Upscale without sending the image.

Privacy boundary

The difference is where inference runs.

Server-side upscalers receive the source

A conventional uploader sends image bytes to a remote service, processes them there, and returns a result. Its privacy and retention policy determines how that file is handled.

ImageBig loads code, not your image

The page downloads the application and model, then the browser decodes and enlarges the file with local CPU or GPU resources. Image bytes do not need to travel back to ImageBig. Read the Privacy Policy for the precise analytics boundary.

Anonymous analytics still has a purpose

Aggregate events help identify whether a tool loaded and whether a preview succeeded. They are limited to fields such as the action, source type, size bucket, result, and use case, without filenames or persistent visitor IDs.

Review the limits

Private processing is still processing.

  1. Inspect the local result

A private preview can still invent detail. Compare text, faces, logos, patterns, and transparent edges with the source.

  2. Check the output dimensions

The free preview is capped at 2048 pixels on the longest edge. Use the print calculator before assuming it is enough for production.

  3. Keep the original file

Do not make the enlarged preview the only copy of a customer, product, or artwork image.

  4. Verify before commercial use

Privacy and visual quality are separate questions. Both need review before publishing or manufacturing.

No-upload FAQ

Know what stays local.

Does ImageBig upload my source image?

No. ImageBig decodes and processes the selected image in your browser. The source and generated image bytes are not sent to the analytics API or stored by ImageBig.

What information does ImageBig analytics receive?

Anonymous aggregate events can include the action, source type, model, result, size bucket, and a broad use case. Image files, filenames, IP addresses, and persistent visitor identifiers are not stored with those events.

Can a no-upload upscaler work on every device?

No. The model needs a modern browser with sufficient memory and WebGL or WebAssembly support. The local check on this page reports the capabilities available in the current browser.

Ready for a private AI preview?

Your browser downloads the model once and keeps the selected image on the device throughout the preview.
