Why it matters
Transparent artwork deserves a separate check.
Alpha is not the same as a white background
Many images look transparent but are actually flattened onto white. The checker reads real pixel alpha and reports whether the source contains transparency.
Fine edges can change during upscaling
Antialiased edges, shadows, and semi-transparent details may soften. Check results on both light and dark backgrounds before using a cutout.
The preview is still a preview
ImageBig restores the source silhouette after on-device enlargement, but does not verify a printer's color, white-ink, bleed, or maximum file requirements.
PNG FAQ
Know what is preserved.
Does ImageBig keep transparent PNGs transparent?
ImageBig restores the source alpha silhouette after the on-device upscale. Fine transparent edges can change, so review them before commercial use.
Why can a PNG appear to have no transparent pixels?
A PNG may be exported with an opaque background even though the format supports transparency. The checker reports the actual alpha values in the selected file.
Is the free output a print-ready PNG?
No. The free preview is capped at 2048 pixels on the longest edge and still requires visual and printer-specific review.
Ready to enlarge transparent artwork?
Use the local checker first, then open the main upscaler and inspect the final cutout.
